With 25 years of experience in elastomer technology, countless cases of failure and material analyses, seminars and consultations, the “Elastomer Institute Richter” is now at your side with advice and assistance and our extensively equipped test laboratory. We test, assess and qualify your technical products made of rubber and thermoplastic elastomers.
Since 1996, when the Richter O-ring testing laboratory was founded, we have outgrown the seals and developed from a pure O-ring testing laboratory into a respected elastomer institute. We now deal with a wide variety of technical elastomer products and materials.

From development to deployment
You can rely on our services right from the start of the product life cycle. We advise you on everything from the selection of materials and the design of components, through production and quality assurance, to the use of elastomer parts. We test materials and components, qualify new products, evaluate parts from endurance runs and analyse in the event of damage.
Furthermore, we interpret and explain the results to you and give you important recommendations – so that you get the best basis for further decisions!
The fact that we have developed from a pure testing laboratory to a reputable institute since our foundation, as well as the continuous expansion of our activities to include all technical elastomer products, prompted us to launch this online presence at the beginning of the year. With this, we want to clearly express that we are competently and reliably available for our customers in all questions concerning elastomer materials, far beyond the O-ring.
