About the Seminar
The aim of this three-day seminar is to provide participants with sufficient expertise to be able to characterise damage patterns and initiate further measures for a reliable root cause analysis. Thanks to an improved understanding of the different damage mechanisms, they will be able to recognise weak points in their own applications in the future.
Thus, damage prevention is an essential part of this training course. The instructors Bernhard and Timo Richter impart a structured approach to analysing damage and provide participants with an intensive introduction to analytical testing methods. Practical exercises complete the course.

Your Seminar Instructors
Dipl.-Ing. Bernhard Richter and Dipl.-Ing. Timo Richter
After studying mechanical engineering at the University of Stuttgart, Bernhard Richter worked for a leading global O-ring manufacturer for over 12 years, the last 7 years of which as head of application technology, before founding the O-Ring Prüflabor Richter in 1996. Since then, he has passed on his knowledge in up to 30 seminars every year. His ability to explain even complex issues in a way that is easy to understand is particularly appreciated. Furthermore, he is not afraid to provide users with clear decision criteria. He has been an expert in the ISO working group for O-ring standardisation (ISO 3601) for more than 10 years and is well known for his numerous publications.
After studying mechanical engineering at KIT Karlsruhe, Timo Richter worked for a global manufacturer of technical elastomer products for several years. His responsibilities included coordinating the cooperation between central process development, materials development and toolmaking with several domestic and foreign production sites. For the last two years, he was responsible for implementing customer requirements as a product manager in the Life Science division. Timo Richter has been working as a consultant at O-Ring Prüfabor Richter since 2018 and was appointed Managing Director in 2020.
