Special Properties of Elastomer Materials and TPU

The standard tests, e.g. hardness test, tensile test, compression set test etc. use standard specimens made of test plates of all elastomer materials.

However, some elastomers or thermoplastic elastomers have special features, certain parameters in the polymer or the compound, which are characteristic only for them.

In most cases, there are two or more variations of these parameters, which have different effects on the material characteristics, resulting in special properties of a material within a material family.

The following table shows the possible test methods that can be used to detect such special properties.
